One way of learning how to read charts is to look at thousands (not hundreds) of charts.

Here is a quick look at 3 stocks to avoid: UNI, JAS, and SEVN.

Jackstones, Inc. (stock symbol: JAS)

Philippine Stock Exchange, Jackstones Inc_JAS Daily chart, January 23, 2015

JAS Daily chart, Jan. 23, 2015 c/o Philstocks

Formerly NextStage, Inc. (NXT), Jackstones, Inc. has not moved much since May, the time it used its new stock symbol JAS.
There is nothing much to analyze in this consolidating stock. Avoid JAS.

Unioil Resources & Holdings Co (stock symbol: UNI)

Philippine Stock Exchange, Unioil resources_UNI Daily chart, January 23, 2015

UNI Daily chart, Jan. 23, 2015 c/o Philstocks

UNI is nearly back to sleep mode after surging to 0.70 in late-October last year.

Resistance at 0.50. Support 0.20-0.30.

Philippine Seven Corporation (stock symbol: SEVN)

Philippine Stock Exchange, Philippine Seven Corp_SEVN Daily chart, January 23, 2015

SEVN Daily chart, Jan. 23, 2015 c/o Philstocks

SEVN has been moving up and down between 80 to 90, for the most part, since July and it could go on the same path for the next few months. It could stay inside the 70-100 range for a prolonged time. Avoid this stock.
